PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy I Soter, 305-282 BC. Tetarte (Gold, 11 mm, 1.77 g, 1 h), Alexandria, circa 294-282. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle, with wings spread, standing left on thunderbolt; in field to left, monogram of MI. Lorber 129. SNG Copenhagen 45. Svoronos 197. Graffito on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
